When a vacuum oil purifier arrives on site, what holds things up first is usually not the machine itself, but the fact that nobody has stated clearly which section belongs to whom. How the inlet pipe is connected, whether the floor can carry the load, who provides the power and who cooperates during commissioning — matters that a single sentence in conversation can settle become mutual waiting on the day the equipment moves in. Put the boundaries on paper and the arguments move from the site back into the office.

Take the ZYD-100 as an example: overall dimensions 1200×1400×1800 mm, equipment weight approx. 720 kg, power supply three-phase 380V / 50Hz, total power 72 + 5 kW, processing capacity 6000 L/h, working vacuum -0.08 ~ -0.0999 MPa, ultimate vacuum ≤5 Pa. The responsibility of the machine itself ends at the interface: degassing, filtration, heating, electrical protection and alarms are completed in the factory configuration, and phase failure and phase sequence protection, audible and visual alarm shutdown on over-pressure, and infrared level and foam detection combined with automatic defoaming are all delivered with the machine.

The auxiliary equipment also belongs to the machine side. The ZH screw oil pump carries the transfer, and the X-100 vacuum pump together with the JRP-500 roots blower form the vacuum unit. The structural configuration can be mobile, stationary, trailer-mounted, open type, canopy type or fully enclosed, and PLC with touch panel, online moisture meter, frequency converter and flow totaliser are available as order options. These configurations determine under which site conditions the machine can be used correctly, but they do not change the division of responsibility between the piping and the civil works.

What the site piping is responsible for: how the medium enters and leaves

The machine is provided with inlet, outlet, return and discharge connections; the piping beyond these ports is the responsibility of the site: how the pipe diameter and the routing are determined, which section the valves are installed in and whether insulation is needed all depend on the pipe network conditions on site. If the diameter is too small, the processing capacity will not reach the nominal 6000 L/h; if the line is long and not insulated, the oil temperature drops during transfer and the degassing efficiency falls with it. If the return connection is made wrongly or a valve is fitted in the reverse direction, oil that has already been degassed returns to the dirty side.

What civil works and utilities are responsible for: whether it fits and whether power can be supplied

Whether the ground is level, whether drainage is clear, where the power is brought in from, whether the capacity is sufficient and whether the floor can carry the weight of the machine once it is filled with oil — these belong to civil works and utilities. The permitted ambient temperature of the TYA series is -20–45 °C, and altitude also affects the vacuum level. The site conditions therefore decide directly whether the machine can hold the working vacuum steadily within the -0.08 ~ -0.0999 MPa range, rather than whether the operation can compensate for it.

The interfaces at the junctions of the three sections have to be settled first

The interfaces are where the arguments are most frequent. Where the machine flange meets the site piping, who performs the sealing, who checks each joint for tightness before commissioning and who supplies the interface dimensions all have to be confirmed in advance. On the power side, who runs the cable from the distribution cabinet to the machine terminals and who confirms the phase sequence and the operation of the phase failure protection also have to be written down. On the data side, the oil analysis report is provided by the commissioning party, while the site power supply conditions, the site dimensions, the doorway dimensions and the floor loading are provided by the site party. If one item is missing, the equipment configuration may not match the site.

Which period of time is saved by writing the boundaries down

Most of the waiting during commissioning comes from coordination: the machine cannot be energised before the piping is complete, the temperature control curve cannot be set before the oil has been analysed, and the alarm function cannot be verified before the power supply is in place. If these responsibilities are written into the contract annexes under the three headings of equipment, piping and civil works, who cooperates during commissioning and which items are looked at during acceptance can be traced to the document. What acceptance covers is in fact quite concrete: no leakage at the interfaces, the vacuum level entering the working range and holding, the phase failure and over-pressure protections operating normally, and a clear reset procedure after an alarm shutdown.

The mobile structure brings the freedom of transfer, and at the same time brings with it the requirements on site space, drainage and transport conditions
  • State the interface form and dimensions in the annex, and which line each of the inlet, outlet, return and discharge is connected to.
  • The commissioning party provides the oil analysis report before the equipment arrives, and the manufacturer sets the temperature control and vacuum values from it.
  • The site provides the power supply conditions, the site dimensions, the doorway dimensions and the floor loading.
  • Commissioning and acceptance are scheduled in the same time window; the equipment moves in only once the piping, electrical and oil conditions are all in place.
The boundary is not a division of the pot; it is the interface conditions laid out on the table in advance. Most of the waiting during commissioning comes from the part that was never written down.
